Hello and welcome! Firstly, thank you so much for showing interest in our products. We are a family-run business and there are 4 of us behind the scenes (because starting a small business means employing your whole family right?!).

Richard (Dad of the family)

The founder, designer, and engineer of the business. A super creative mind that has turned a small idea into a successful reality...can you believe he used to be a DJ?!

Susan (Mum of the family)
The logistics, packer, and planner of the business. Without her, the parcels wouldn't be delivered so beautifully and everything would be chaos!

Alex (Son of the family)

The brains, techy-whizz, and editor of the business. The one who programs everything and makes sure the website functions...without him, well, you wouldn't be reading from this website right now.

Katherine (Daughter of the family)

The voice, content creator, photographer, and marketer of the business. Yes, that's me...I love to get creative throughout the content creation process, but I also analyse numbers and ensure you're all getting what you're looking for!

 

After Richard retired from his 45 year long career in engineering, he felt fulfilled. However, his creative itch still needing scratching, and he couldn't sit still. This is where Default Interactive was born back in 2019. Combining laser cutting services with Alex's game development, and real-time technologies, they started a website and Etsy to advertise these services and products. In 2024, Susan and Katherine were brought on board to help. This allowed for more ideas and products to be made, and the business started doing really well. Nevertheless, we all felt it was time for a re-brand for our laser-cutting/CNC cutting products. Therefore, Decophoria was birthed (although it took about a million years to come up with a name!).

Phoria: taken from 'Euphoria', the feeling or state of intense excitement of happiness

Richard's engineering career took our family across the world. We lived in China for 10 years and then Germany for 3 years. We all experienced so many different cultures, and appreciated so much of the history and architecture. This has certainly inspired many of our products and the variation of designs. Now, we have the privilege of creating so many exciting products for you, and we get to do it as a family.
